CO2 Laser Therapy

Fractionated or "pixelated" carbon (CO2) lasers are one of the latest advances in non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatments.

What is CO2 Laser Treatment?

The C02 has the longest wavelength of all the lasers on the market and can be used safely on darker skin types with appropriate adjustments in the settings. Fractionated CO2 lasers excel at treating deeper wrinkles. The lasers also treat more severe, textural changes from sun damage, wrinkles, blotchiness, acne scars, and surgical or traumatic scars.

How does CO2 Laser Resurfacing work?

As this laser is moved across your skin, your doctor will target deeper layers of skin that have been damaged by loss of collagen. The heat from the laser creates enough disruption for your skin to replace all those layers of skin, but to do that, it has to produce a lot of new collagen.

As this healing process continues, newly regenerated skin cells slowly replace those damaged layers of skin with healthier ones.
